No

Do you practice religion?

No, I don’t. I practice the precepts of the religious traditions that have evolved in the West.

Kindness. As best I can.

Respect. Understanding. Empathy.

I will walk a mile in your shoes. And quote the many wisdoms you may believe. I am not a believer. I do have faith in our better nature.

Something to believe in. And worth practicing.

More. Give me more.

What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?

There are times it’s hard to judge when we’ve had enough. For those of us battling bulges, this is often true around food. It also applies to just the complex and ordinary business of living.

“Having it all” is one of those insatiable goals of the greedy and ambitious. If you are like me a little lazy and indifferent, you probably don’t need to reach quite so high.

I’m ok, I can hear myself utter, I got some of it.

Easy, clean, and breezy

Write about your dream home.

One story with an open plan would be ideal.

Floorplan, open loft, insert cubicle

I prefer at least 1000 sq ft of space, open but with little compartments cordoned off.

Cubbies as rooms in imitation of office cubicles would give the illusion of privacy.

This is asking for the best of both studio or loft style and traditional floorplans.

Fly your freak flag

If you started a sports team, what would the colors and mascot be?

Which sport?

The colors, whatever game we play would have to be purple and brown. The mascot should be either a lynx or a giraffe. Granted, a purple and brown giraffe is one big strange animal.

It’s out of my league, I am sure.

BTW I learned today that a giraffe has very few vertebrae as it needs depth and thickness to keep that long neck upright.

Not a cartoon

What’s your favorite cartoon?

Dec 12, 1975, was the best Johnny Carson episode I ever saw.

Johnny Carson and Carol Wayne presented one of Johnny’s shyster impersonations that was spot-on.

Bob Hope did sketches featuring a very funny Angie Dickinson in outtakes from the special he was promoting.

Dean Martin was cartoonishly drunk.

Charles Nelson Reilly, as usual, all but came out, and I am sure the NBC sensors would not have liked that.

Once Martin left the stage, CNR did honor him by talking about what a generous actor Dean Martin was.

Here is a link to a YouTube of the segment.
