What jobs have you had?
Lots.
I would posit that a job is a good thing.

Do you practice religion?
No. I put all my faith in atheism. And am grateful for all good things and kind people.
Do you remember life before the internet?
Do you mean when we had to write a letter rather than send an email? Or remember the name of that actor from Mash without looking on a tablet or phone?
It’s a blur, which is strange because I am old enough to go back to that half century ago before Desk Set.
What are you good at?
Modesty forbids that I brag.
I am old enough to provide some self-assessment, however.
For years I labored at this and at that. Most often, in a serendipitous career, I was successful.
But when asked so directly where my talent lies, I have to answer I am good at my passion.
Writing my thoughts, opinions and ideas for you.
What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?

Whatever it is that I have, it’s having it all.
There is a lot to be said for being content.

Who would you like to talk to soon?
There’s a goodly number of people with whom I have lost touch. I miss them. It would be great getting a moment to talk.
What personal belongings do you hold most dear?

This horse rocked every race! His presence on our window sill is a sweet reminder of one of the great times we shared.
My husband bought him as a souvenir for me of a wonderful weekend.
Neither of us had been to Saratoga before. It was a standout trip!
How do you feel about cold weather?
This is a fine time to ask!
We’re approaching the warm and the waves of hot weather they bring.
I hear it’s going to be a very hard summer.
How do you balance work and home life?

Since I never had children at home and married late in life, the balancing act was never a big concern.
Single people can work longer hours with no effect on their home life.
That’s the theory.
When you do not have family or a partner at home, you feel carefree. The truth may just be a little different from the perception.
It’s a documented fact [and we women love to cite it] that married men live longer. There could be undocumented evidence that marriage benefits women as well.
In part, we could say it’s because men are cared for; that’s just one side of the picture. They also have to care for their family or partner.
If being unattached means you are carefree, it can also mean you are free to be careless.
Married people, both men and women, have cares. They need to be careful in the best possible way.
Being without a care in the world is overrated. Caring with the worries it brings is a better place for all of us.
There may be more to balance between our homes and our offices, but we are fortunate to have all those balls in the air.

Or even a potato can heat
Up a summer's day. Put a
Peach on the coals or add
A zucchini to roast and save
Some apricots, plums for
