Is it spring? Already? Yesterday was more like summer.
It’s such a colorful time to watch flower beds come to life.

Once upon a time, holidays were made from creation myths. They explained seasonal cycles and celebrated the good and the mysterious in the world.
We still have those and then all the phony commercial ones, like international pizza day.
Here’s a made-up “world day” I find useful and amusing: Back-up Day. Buy a device to store photos and data. Free up space. YAY.
Enjoy whatever you are celebrating. Today and everyday.

*I had a sandwich, but service is very pretty. The coffees have a rarified luxury feel. Next time, Watch House is on my coffee trail.
The Paley library (4th floor) will provide viewing of rare archives from TV 📺 history. It’s worth checking that out!

Valentines 💝 decorations are sweet. Their upbeat tempo is irresistible. By the 20th, decorations are gone, and we’re back to business as usual.
That, too, can be sweet, upbeat. We’ll just tap along to our own rhythms. Pa-chong pa-chong….

These buildings are being built in layers, the core structure is clad in a glass cover. (#3 pix.) That’s cool, baby!

Most all my memories of the museum of natural history are lovely.
There were the times I took my best friend’s little boy to free Fridays at which I learned so much. My husband and I were fond of the planetarium as a date destination.
To illustrate how long it’s been since I was there, the other day, I realized in passing that the planetarium had been redesigned.
Nice visiting the neighborhood. Again.

The lady walking in front of me was dressed to the nines [as the saying goes]. She was strolling after her midday’s shopping. Her outfit was carefully put-together and just a tad eccentric.

From the top of this section:
1/2. The entryway feels secretive and hidden even though it’s in plain sight from the sidewalk as I pass.
3/4. Bright and colorful touch to a classic brick building in Kip’s Bay is appealing.
5/6. Sun shines off the green glass, attracting my attention.
7/8. I like how the big one overhangs its small neighbors without impinging on their space or air.
