At least to me. And in fairness, to me, these cloud formations are a bit novel [to me]. Let’s hear it for the clouds!

What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?
There are times it’s hard to judge when we’ve had enough. For those of us battling bulges, this is often true around food. It also applies to just the complex and ordinary business of living.
“Having it all” is one of those insatiable goals of the greedy and ambitious. If you are like me a little lazy and indifferent, you probably don’t need to reach quite so high.
I’m ok, I can hear myself utter, I got some of it.
What is something others do that sparks your admiration?
Grace under pressure is a remarkable quality.

Dancers practice this as a matter of course. It is the baseline for their art.
I am in awe!

The lady walking in front of me was dressed to the nines [as the saying goes]. She was strolling after her midday’s shopping. Her outfit was carefully put-together and just a tad eccentric.

From the top of this section:
1/2. The entryway feels secretive and hidden even though it’s in plain sight from the sidewalk as I pass.
3/4. Bright and colorful touch to a classic brick building in Kip’s Bay is appealing.
5/6. Sun shines off the green glass, attracting my attention.
7/8. I like how the big one overhangs its small neighbors without impinging on their space or air.

It’s a dance from the 1800s, I think. Or maybe more like from around 1912. I do know it’s not the Fox trot or a waltz or the Lindy.
We danced to a ridiculously fast waltz from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty at our wedding. As Thanksgiving approaches and I reflect, I am grateful for all that.
The dances we’ve had. The dances we have seen. The ones we know and those we wish we could execute to perfection.
What food would you say is your specialty?
Living in New York City, we are exposed to such great variety of the edible and delectable.
Different cultures have merged into a melted pot of flavors. Many of them are surprising. Lots of them prove tantalizing.
An inability to produce a decent meal on my part is saved by the phone. “Hi, I am calling for a delivery please.”

Embracing the frightening, we take on the masks of doom. On Halloween, we chase away goblins by becoming one with them.

What daily habit do you do that improves your quality of life?
Making sure I get time to write is the A-one best thing I can do for myself.
What profession do you admire most and why?
Writers of historical fiction have the patience and savvy of scientists. They unearth secrets from the past to share with us. It’s as painstaking a process as archaeology.
Only once the excavation is done does a narrative unfold. Wow.
