A night at the Museum

We complained about the lines; we overheard the women behind us complain.

My question to my friend (artist and frequent art date) LisaMaria and anyone else who was willing to listen, “if it’s a Member Event why are half the elevators out of service; why isn’t the Cafe open; why are there such long lines. I should have just come early in the day.”

To my credit, I did not raise all these ‘plaints at once. But you get the point: Avoid the lines. Go at off hours.

BTW, the Metropolitan Opera is launching a new production, El Último Sueño de Frida y Diego, created by Gabriela Lena Frank  (music) and Nilo Cruz (libretto), about Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.

The Frida and Diego exhibition is MoMA’s tie-in to the premiere opera. The tree and the diorama of the tree are part of the set design. Also on exhibit is some of the well-known art by the well-known artist-couple.
